Nikko Company (Headquarters: Ishikawa Prefecture, President and CEO: Akiko Mitani) will establish a representative office in Hanoi, Vietnam, to expand its water environment infrastructure business in the ASEAN market.
With over half a century of expertise in Johkasou manufacturing and a cumulative delivery record exceeding one million units domestically and internationally, the company will further promote the adoption of septic tanks tailored to diverse local needs. Operating as an affiliate of MITANI SANGYO Co., Ltd., which began business operations in Vietnam in the 1990s and possesses extensive experience, Nikko will advance this initiative.
Background and Purpose
In recent years, economic growth and urbanization in ASEAN countries, including Vietnam, have made the development of sustainable water environment infrastructure an urgent priority. Our company has accumulated a track record of installing wastewater treatment facilities, known as Johkasou, for factories, offices, and commercial facilities both in Japan and Vietnam. With the opening of this representative office, we will strengthen local information gathering, market analysis, and collaboration with relevant agencies to provide faster and more precise responses.
Our Johkasou are manufactured in-house, ranging from small tanks (for single-family homes) to medium tanks (for apartment buildings and small facilities) and large tanks (for schools, hospitals, and commercial facilities). They efficiently treat domestic wastewater according to each facility’s size and discharge volume. This contributes to improving local sanitation and preserving water quality.
